Why polyester, and not cotton
Cotton looks like the premium choice on a label, but on a pet it's the wrong tool. It soaks up drool, rain and garden puddles, stays damp against fur, and sags out of shape the moment it gets heavy. A hat that has gone limp isn't cute, and a damp hat sitting on a pet isn't comfortable either.
Lightweight polyester was chosen because it does the opposite: it sheds water rather than drinking it, dries fast, and springs back into shape after being sat on, brushed against fur, or shoved in a drawer between photo days. It's also light enough that a small pet barely registers the weight — which matters far more than fibre snobbery when the wearer is a cat with opinions.
